What can I help with? Child Psychologists are trained in understanding how people think, feel and behave. My job is to help children and their families cope with a range of difficulties and problems they may experience. Usually I start with talking with children and/or their parents to try to work out how I can best help. Sometimes this will mean meeting several times, or only once or twice. The number of times depends on the nature of the problems. I am trained to use a variety of techniques and psychological approaches (these include Systemic thinking, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, evidence based & comprehensive Behavioural Interventions).
